Bouncing Baby

We're getting really high tech now. Russ figured out how to add

a blog list and now we're trying our hand at videos. We chose for

our first one, our cute little bouncing beauty.

Gracie has been staying up way too late and this is what she does

while we are trying to stay awake to keep an eye on her. This is

what we do to wear her out so we can try to get a couple hours of

sleep before the rest of the gang wakes up.

Handsome Hudson

Here are Hudson's First Grade Pictures.
He's very cute and knows it. It was too funny.
We put his pictures in for him. He got all excited,
saying things like, "Wow what a cute kid." "I just love
that handsome kid." "I'm so excited to see me."
Let me tell you. This boy is a Mini Me of RUSSELL
BRENT BASSETT. I went to help at his school last
Friday to volunteer. I stayed for lunch and recess.
I swear I was hangin' with my husband 27 years ago.
First, he was so slow eating that he ended up eating with
the next grade of kids. ( Sound Familiar?)
Then, if that wasn't enough to convince you, we went out
to recess and I asked him if he had a group of friends he hung
out with. He said that a girl in his class named Haily
sometimes finds him. I mentioned that we should go
find her. He informed me that he mostly just likes to
hang out by himself. We were playing and sure enough
here came sweet cute little miss Haily. Of course he barley
even payed attention to her. ( again this reminded me of a
few experiences in mine and is dads courtship.
Russ' friends had to tell him I was interested.)
Better yet!! His favorite ice cream is vanilla.
He gets side tracked going potty while doing
the I gotta go dance.
The other day I asked him to grab something
right in front of him. He kept saying he couldn't find
it as he was touching it. ( this again reminded me of
something his dad did. ) So I yelled are you kidding me
Russell Brent. The real Russell came in confused. I
pointed out what he was doing and we all laughed.
His teachers all say he is a very smart boy. He
is still very artistic. He just blows his teachers
away at all the things he comes up with. I
will try to scan some of his stories he has written.
We are very proud of him. I love that he is
so much like his dad. It makes me smile.

Daddy's Little Sweetheart!!

Gracie is now 6 minths old. She just Got over the
H1N1 flu. It was very scary at first. With all the stuff
on the news about it. She was sick for a couple of weeks.
She even had the stomache flu to go with it. During all this
she managed to get her daddy wrapped tightly around her
cute little finger. He was up all hours of the night and he would
go down stairs and sleep on our hide-a-bed. Even when she got
better she had him jumpimg throuh lots of hoops. He sure loves
his pretty little Gracie.

Kelcie's Hair Cut

BEFORE

AFTER

Kelcie was having major tangles, so I took
off about four inches. Her Vampire picture
was the only one I had to show how long her
hair was before. This is her second year being
a Vampire Princess. Last year she couldn't make
up her mind what she wanted to be. My mom got
her a pretty dress to be a princess and all the props
to be Dorthy from The Wizard of Oz. Then she decided
she wanted to be something scary. So I asked if she wanted
to be a Vampire Princess. She loved it. It was cute. Last year
as I was painting her face Hudson was getting scared. Kelcie said
"It's okay Hudson I know it's scary, but it is still just me Kelcie."
We lost the pictures from last year. But she really enjoys being scary.
So wanted to repeat it this year. I always forget she is only
4 years old. It was fuuny taking her to head start. She scared all of
her friends. She was the most dressed up kid there. The whole family
was the Skooby Doo Gang, but of course we have no pictures. Kelcie is
such a pretty girl, and she knows it. After her hair cut I was
telling her she was such a cute girl and she would reply,
"Yes I am!! It was finny. Last year when we first moved back to MT
she would say "Mom tell me that I am Pretty." So I would,
and she would reply. "Yes I am."

Snow in September

We got six inches of snow in the middle of
September. The kids were very excited.
They took full advantage of it. It lasted for
a couple of weeks.

Wild Horse Island

Here is one of the 5 wild horses left on the Island. It is very
rare to see one. My sister has been going here for
years and never seen one. Russ and my dad went for a
walk and found the wild horse. Dad and Jeannie took
their boats out and took us out to Wild horse Island.
According to a guy I work with. The Blackfoot Indian
liked to come in the spring and steal the Salish Indians
woman and horses. So one winter the Salish brought
their woman and horses to this island because the
Blackfeet do not like to swim. So now their are still
horses on the island. (But their are no Salish woman.
The Salish must have retrieved their woman
and left their horses.) :)

Here are some of the sights from the Island.

Russ tryed water skiing. He was awesome. Even
my dad was impressed at how long and far he skied.

My sister Jeannie's son James he is 17
and a senior in HS. He works at Pizza Hut.
He also enjoys cheer leading and football.

My sister Jeannie's son Robert. He is 9 years old.
He is a very busy kid.

Grandpa's Girls!!

In Augest my mom and dad came over for dinner. My dad was cute! He is very smitten with our little Gracie. She is named after his mother who passed away 8 years ago. She was a very special woman. We lived next to her most of my childhood. I even lived with her for a couple of years after my grandpa died. She was a very big part of my life. It was an honer to pass her name on to my little girl. As you can see my dad is trying to tease my husband. Russ went to MSU which is the Bobcats. We live near Uof M which are the Griz . So my dad is always teasing my husband that he is going to make my kids Griz fans. He even took Hudson to a griz game. He loved it. So after a while of my dad spoiling Gracie, Kelcie wanted to get in on the snuggles. She sure is Grandpas girl. When we lived with him she always climed up on his lap to get her dose of grandpa snuggles. A time or two she even let him snuggle her blanket. That is HUGE you know she loves you when she is willing to part with her blanket for you.

Uncle Stacy's Boat

Uncle Stacy

On the 4th of July my sister Jeannie's husband Stacy took us out on his boat. The kids were super excited. Russ and I even decited to be brave and try out their tube. Russ did awsome. It took me forever to get on and then I didn't make it very far. As you can see I hardly made waves. Oh well I can still say I did it. The kids were very proud of me.

Bathing Beauty

We moved into our own house on mine and Hudsons' Birthday July 17th. It is a large three bedroom home. It has a large loft, we turned it into a library. We also have a very large garden tub in our bathroom. The kids love it, they call it their indoor pool. Gracie was the first one to try out our tub. It is so large that the kids could use their floaties that my mom got them. Gracie is only three months here. She is such a big girl with lots of hair.

Story Time With G & G Bassett

Mom and Dad Bassett came to visit us in July. They took the kids to the library here in Polson. I was greatfull they took pictures because I was at work. The kids had a blast. They really enjoy their time with their Grandma and Grandpa Bassett.

Our biggest baby get!

WE are so excited to announce the arrival of our 4th little punkin. She ended up being our
little Easter baby. Ruus tells everyone we came in and cracked the egg open and out came our little Easter Bunny. I keep teaseing him that he needs to stop calling me an egg. She was three weeks early. We had to have her at this time because she was gaining weight too fast. So Russ and I went to St. Luke's hospital in Ronan, Mt at 7:00am.
I had been in pre-term labor off and on for three weeks. But of course when I went in that day I was having none. So they had to give me the dreaded potosum. They started it at noon. Even when I was fully dilates her head was not down far enough. I was beginning to worry that I was going to have a C-section. So They had me sit up with sharp contractions from 6:00 to 6:30pm. Then when the Dr. came in we were ready to push and she came at 7:05 pm.
Her brothers and sister were so excited to welcome her. They were beginning to think I was fibbing about having a new baby. I kept telling them she will come after Boyce's Birthday. So at his party Kelcie came up to me and said "Mommy it's time to get Gracie out it is Boyce's Birthday." For the following two weeks she kept telling me we need to get our Baby Gracie out." They had to wait untill the next morning to come and see her. Boyce was so cute he just kept giggling, and saying "Me see Baby Dacie." Well we are home now and all doing well. Hudson can't wait to take her to school for show and share.
